Creatara Mobility Opens Faridabad Plant as It Moves Towards Scaled Electric Two-Wheeler Production

Indian electric two-wheeler startup Creatara Mobility has taken a significant step towards commercial-scale manufacturing with the inauguration of its first production facility in Faridabad, Haryana. The new plant has an installed annual capacity of 30,000 electric two-wheelers and will manufacture the company’s flagship IN40 and VM4 models.

The facility marks a new phase for Creatara, which has spent the past several years developing its products, technology and manufacturing capabilities. The company says the move from research and development to production is part of a deliberate effort to build its business in stages rather than rapidly expanding manufacturing capacity ahead of demand.

Located in the Delhi-NCR region, the facility has been designed around repeatable and standardised manufacturing processes. According to Creatara, the plant will allow it to build production capabilities that can be expanded as the electric two-wheeler market develops.

Building a lifestyle-focused EV proposition

Creatara is positioning itself differently from conventional electric scooter manufacturers by combining personal mobility with lifestyle and design. Its IN40 and VM4 are crossover-style electric two-wheelers aimed primarily at younger consumers, including college students and young professionals.

The two models are based on the company’s proprietary platform and were first showcased in January 2025. They incorporate features including an AI-ready Vehicle Control Unit and portable, swappable battery packs.

Rather than focusing solely on transportation, Creatara says its products are intended to offer buyers greater scope for personalisation, with design and customisation forming an important part of the company’s proposition.

A measured approach to manufacturing

For Creatara, the opening of the plant also reflects its approach to capital deployment. The company says it has focused on developing capabilities progressively across areas such as powertrains, batteries, electronics, electrical systems, tooling, components, testing, connected technology and industrialisation.

“Creatara’s journey has never been about factories first, but about a vision realized step by step,” said Vikas Gupta, Founder and CEO of Creatara Mobility. He described the company’s development process as moving through the stages of building, validation, certification, industrialisation and scaling.

Co-founder Ringlarei Pamei said the company has prioritised building capabilities rather than spending aggressively to achieve scale.

The manufacturing operation also incorporates the Japanese 5S methodology – Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain. Creatara says the framework will be used to support workplace organisation, consistency, quality control, process discipline and continuous improvement as production begins.

From India to international markets

Production at the Faridabad facility is intended to serve both Indian customers and overseas markets. This forms part of Creatara’s stated “Made in India, Made for the World” approach as it looks to build the company into an international mobility brand.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Delhi-NCR, Creatara describes itself as a lifestyle electric two-wheeler manufacturer focused on combining engineering, connected technology, sustainability, safety and personalisation.

With the Faridabad plant now operational, the company enters a new stage in its development. The immediate focus will be on establishing consistent production of the IN40 and VM4 while building the manufacturing systems and supply-chain capabilities needed to support future growth.
