BMW is currently working on the new X1 SUV, which is slated for release next year. With this new generation, there will be a fully electric model offered in addition to the previous gasoline powered ones.
BMW iX1 EV SUV has been in the news for quite some time now, and it has spied several times also while on test. However, very few details are known about this new upcoming all-electric SUV and nothing has been confirmed by the automaker.
While we will still have to wait for some for the official announcement and images from BMW, here we have an artist’s imagination of what the new iX1 EV could look like.
As can be seen a lot of inspiration has been derived from the BMW iX and iX3 models. The side body is not much smoother and has less surface changes as compared to the previous model. At the front we see a similar styling like that on the iX3 EV. The rear end has been imagined very similar to the BMW iX electric SUV.
The new BMW X1 and the iX1 will share the FAAR platform. Future FWD models from BMW will be based on this modular and flexible platform.
The new iX1 SUV is expected to be offered in both single and dual-motor configurations. BMW has not yet released any details about the new iX1 but we can expect similar specs as seen on the bigger BMW iX3 ev SUV.
