Ola S1 & S1 Pro electric scooters launched in India; Priced from INR 99,999

In India, Ola has launched its first e-scooter, which will be available from 8th September 2021 in S1 and S1 Pro versions. Deliveries will begin in October 2021.

Ola S1:

A 2.98 kWh battery pack powers the Ola S1’s Hyperdrive motor. With 11 BHP and 58 Nm of torque, the motor is capable of reaching a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter accelerates from zero to 60 km/h in 7 seconds.

A conventional charger will recharge the battery to 100% in 4 hours 48 minutes, while a fast charger will supply 75 km of range in 18 minutes. The S1 has a range of 121 km.

The Ola S1 electric scooter comes with two riding modes – Normal and Sports.

Ola S1 Pro:

With a battery capacity of 3.97 kWh, the S1 Pro is said to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds, and reach top speeds of 115 km/h.

This scooter has a range of 181 km, and it can be charged to 100% using a conventional charger in 6 hours, 30 minutes. With a fast charger, the scooter can be charged to a range of 75 km in 18 minutes.

The Ola S1 Pro e-scooter has three modes – Normal, Sports and Hyper.

This electric scooter comes with a smart vehicle control unit (VCU), with an octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Features like Reverse park assist, hill hold, cruise control and onboard navigation are also available. The e-scooter also comes with smartphone alerts, geo-fencing, mobile phone call and message alerts, as well as an anti-theft alarm system.

Ola’s e-scooter has a tubular steel frame. Its kerb weight is 121 kg for the S1, and 125 kg for the S1 Pro. Both models have 36-litre underseat storage with capacity for two helmets.

At the front, the scooter features a single fork suspension, while at the rear, it comes equipped with a monoshock. The e-scooter features a front disc brake measuring 220mm and a rear disc brake measuring 180mm. The scooter also comes with a combined braking system.
