1969 Dodge Charger TUSK by Ringbrothers: Igniting a Timeless Legend

In the world of custom car builders and parts manufacturers, few names shine as brightly as Ringbrothers. Their latest creation, the “TUSK,” is a testament to their craftsmanship, taking the iconic 1969 Dodge Charger and transforming it into a modern masterpiece. This limited-edition powerhouse, is nothing short of a relentless expression of automotive artistry.

Unveiling the TUSK

The 1969 Dodge Charger is already an American classic, but Ringbrothers have taken it to a whole new level. Every aspect of the TUSK has been meticulously customized, resulting in a truly unique and awe-inspiring creation. From the chassis to the engine, from the exterior to the interior, nothing has been left untouched.

The Heart of a Beast

Under the custom two-piece carbon-fiber hood lies the crown jewel of the TUSK: the 1,000 horsepower Hellephant. This monstrous 426ci (7.0-liter) supercharged V8 engine roars to life, delivering a staggering 950 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels through a Bowler TREMEC T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission. To ensure that power gets where it needs to go, Ringbrothers installed a QA1 REV Series custom carbon-fiber driveshaft and a Strange Engineering Ford 9-inch rear end. The Hemi engine is an all-aluminum masterpiece, strategically placed 2.5 inches further back against a custom-built firewall to optimize weight distribution.

Exterior Redefined

The Charger’s iconic front end has received a captivating makeover, featuring a one-piece exposed carbon-fiber surround with a billet machined chrome trim accentuating the striking “blind-eye” grille. The front valance and chin spoiler are bespoke creations, and both the front and rear bumpers have been tucked and narrowed to enhance the Charger’s imposing presence. But the customization doesn’t stop there; the windshield cowl vents are gone, the rear quarter end caps are reshaped and extended, and the rocker panels are both extended and lowered. With a one-off belly pan, lower rear valance, and custom driveline tunnel and floors, the TUSK’s exterior is a testament to the art of meticulous design and craftsmanship. BASF Glasurit’s “Black to the Future” accentuates the Charger’s tapered fenders and muscular proportions, enhancing the already imposing presence of the TUSK. The contrasting gold elements give the vehicle a rightly menacing look, both visually and on the road.

Aesthetics Meets Performance

The TUSK’s visual appeal is not just for show; it’s deeply intertwined with its performance. The front wheels have been moved forward two inches to extend the wheelbase and improve handling. Underneath, a custom Roadster Shop FAST TRACK chassis ensures dynamic performance. Fox RS SV coilovers at all four corners offer a smooth ride, and Baer Brakes Extreme 6S six-piston calipers provide the stopping power. To keep things cool, machined billet side vents adorn the front fenders, and the Charger rides on Ringbrothers “TUSK” Edition HRE Wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Interior Luxury

Step inside the TUSK, and you’re met with modern comforts and conveniences. The custom leather interior, crafted by Upholstery Unlimited, is a sight to behold. A carbon-fiber console adds a touch of modernity, while the custom carbon-fiber “pistol grip” shifter pays homage to Mopar’s heritage. Additional equipment include a Gentex rearview mirror, Dakota Digital gauges, and a Vintage Air Gen IV climate-control system. The combination of performance and design truly makes this build an unforgettable masterpiece.

A Timeless Revival of American Muscle

In the world of custom car builders, Ringbrothers’ “TUSK” stands as a true work of art and engineering prowess. It’s a radical reinterpretation of the classic 1969 Dodge Charger, where aesthetics meet cutting-edge techniques, painstaking detail, and pure imagination. Limited to just 100 units, this iconic creation is sure to turn heads and leave enthusiasts in awe.

As Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring puts it, “TUSK took over 5,000 hours to complete and is a radical rethink of the classic Charger, marrying the aesthetics of a 20th-century icon with the rigorous build quality and signature touches Ringbrothers has become renowned for.” It’s a testament to American muscle car styling and performance, meticulously recreated for the 21st century.
