Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter have introduced the new 2017 Hyundai i20 with features encompassing Safety, Style and Infotainment.
The new 2017 Hyundai i20 gets dual tone paint options in Red Passion body colour with Phantom Black roof and Polar White body colour with Phantom Black roof. The premium hatchback is also available in a new Marina Blue shade.
Inside the updated Hyundai Elite i20 gets black interiors with orange insets that lend it a sporty look and feel. The 7-inch touchscreen Audio Video Navigation system now comes with smartphone connectivity supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link features.
Commenting on the launch of the new Hyundai Elite i20, Mr. Y K Koo, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “The Elite i20 has been a runaway global success, selling over 300,000 units since its launch in 2014. The New 2017 Elite i20, with more First-in-Segment features, will further enhance the brand’s appeal offering Premium Safety, Performance and Exceptional Driving Experience to the customers.”
The engine options are same and include the 1.4 CRDi Diesel (90 PS, 220 Nm) mated to a 6-Speed Manual Transmission, 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol (83 PS, 114 Nm) with 5-Speed Manual Transmission and 1.4 Dual VTVT Petrol (100 PS, 132 Nm) that comes with 4-Speed Automatic Transmission.
Some of the key features of the Hyundai Elite i20 include Projector Headlamps with LED DRLs, Smart key & engine start/stop button, Rear AC Vents, Auto Headlight control, Smart pedal, Rear parking assists system with Steering Adaptive Parking Guidelines, Rear Defogger, Fog Lamps and 16-inch Diamond Cut Alloys. The Elite i20 also comes with ABS and 6-Airbags (front dual, side and curtain airbags).
