Hyundai IONIQ 5 N NPX1 Concept with N Performance Parts unveiled

Hyundai Motor Company has introduced the ‘IONIQ 5 N NPX1’ concept model, showcasing the latest in N Performance Parts at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. This initiative aims to elevate the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience by offering quality tuning components. Originating in 2019, the N Performance Parts project has evolved to encompass tuning elements for both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles like Elantra N, i30 N, and i20 N, as well as electric N models like the IONIQ 5 N.

The IONIQ 5 N NPX1 concept model provides a sneak peek into the forthcoming N-specific enhancements, set to be available for purchase through a dedicated catalogue of N Performance Parts in the near future. The enhancements include a carbon front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing spoiler, lightweight hybrid carbon wheels, high-performance brake pads, and lowering springs. Inside, the concept model boasts Alcantara material and racing bucket seats for an enhanced driving experience.

The prototype N Performance Parts featured on the NPX1 concept are undergoing further refinement for production and are slated for sales in 2024. Hyundai N’s commitment extends beyond the IONIQ 5 N, as the company plans to extend the availability of N Performance Parts across its entire N model lineup.

In 2024, Hyundai Motor Company aims to solidify its position as a trailblazer in new tuning parts tailored for the high-performance EV era, exemplified by the cutting-edge  Hyundai IONIQ 5 N NPX1 concept model. Going beyond traditional tuning components, Hyundai is actively developing software customization, including sound and vehicle calibration through Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. This innovative approach is set to introduce a new era of EV customization, promising an exciting future for the tuning community.
