Yamaha FZ-X – a Neo-Retro Motorcycle introduced for India

As part of its thrilling brand campaign “The Call of the Blue,” India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. introduces the FZ-X, its first Neo-Retro motorcycle for the Indian market. The YamahaFZ-X has revolutionary features and offers a comfortable riding position for touring enthusiasts.

2021 Yamaha FZ-X Speed

The FZ-X model features a Neo Retro design theme for a nostalgic ride, as well as industry-leading technology to fulfil the riding needs of young India.

It is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine that is developed to be the best riding companion in a variety of riding circumstances.

Strong metal components visible on the fuel tank, side covers, engine guard, headlamp stays, front fender, fender stay, and grab-bar, for greater strength and durability, give the FZ-X a manly and powerful presence.The front forks are adorned with attractive black boots, which enhance to the overall look.

Overall, the Neo-Retro FZ-X features a mature design with a manly vibe and unique colour schemes that set it apart from the competition. The colour options include – Matt Copper, Metallic Blue and Matt Black.

The new FZ-X is equipped with a two-valve Blue Core FI engine that produces 12.4 PS peak power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. Similarly, the exhaust note has been fine-tuned to generate a powerful sound.

The feature-packed FZ-X is Bluetooth-enabled, and it also comes with a Communication Control Unit (first for Yamaha bikes in India), which is compatible with Yamaha’s special Y-Connect app, which allows users to live a more active motorcycling lifestyle.

The rider can check smartphone notifications via the instrument cluster icons, look at maintenance recommendations, track the bike’s last parking location, track fuel consumption, and receive malfunction notifications, as well as a unique feature – The Revs Dashboard, which displays data such as engine rpm, degree of throttle opening, rate of acceleration, and an eco-friendly riding indicator, etc on the rider’s smartphone.

A Bi-functional LED Headlight with Daytime LED Running Lamp (DRL), a newly designed negative LCD console with a Power Socket, and an LED Taillight are among the other appealing and unique features. The FZ-X also has a Side Stand Engine Cutoff Switch, which is a standard feature on all Yamaha two-wheelers in India.

The new FZ-X features a taller handlebar that is closer to the rider, as well as a reasonably flat and cushy step-up seat and well-positioned footpegs for improved ergonomics. In addition, the new FZ-X has a 165 mm minimum ground clearance and weighs 139 kg (with oil and a full fuel tank).

Yamaha has also included a lower Engine Protector Guard, and a BOSCH single-channel ABS with block pattern dual-purpose 100/80-17 (Front) and 140/60-17 (Rear) tubeless tyres to ensure maximum grip on any terrain for added convenience.
