India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. has launched the all-new MT-15 (155 cc) in the Indian market. The new Yamaha MT-15 is targeted for the young generation who are transitioning from lower end two-wheelers and are simultaneously looking for snappy rides with a maximum feel of torque and acceleration.

The motorcycle is priced at INR 1,36,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new MT-15 is powered by a 155cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. The motor produces 19.3 PS at 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.
The MT-15 looks aggressive and sporty. It gets minimal-look headlight enhancing the dynamic front face styling. Short tail with a vertical taillight and overall ‘graphics and finish’ illustrates the unpredictable MT style.
The India-spec Yamaha MT-15 bike is built on a Delta box frame and weighs 138 kg. The motorcycle is equipped with 140 mm width rear tire and 282 mm front disc brake with single-channel ABS.
It also gets conventional telescopic forks instead of upside-down forks at the front. At the rear, the bike gets a box-type swingarm with a linkage-type rear mono-shock. The motorcycle also gets alloy wheels as same as the one on the Yamaha R15 V3.0.
