Mercedes-Benz India has silently added a new petrol variant to its C-Class lineup. The company had earlier launched the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan in September but only with diesel engine options.

Available in a single variant – C200 Progressive, the luxury sedan is priced at INR 43.46 Lakh (ex-showroom India).
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class C200 variant is powered by new M264 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 184 PS (135 kW) @ 5,800-6,100 rpm and a torque of 280 Nm @ 3,000-4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is equipped with a 48-volt electric starter motor for better efficiency. This mild-hybrid system also offers an additional 10 PS (12 kW) and 160 Nm of torque.
Key features offered with the C200 Progressive variant include panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, active parking assist, dual touchpad control system, 10.25-inch COMAND infotainment unit, LED High-performance headlamps, LED tail-lamps, 17- &18-inch alloy wheel options and a smartphone integration package amongst others.
