Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the fifth-generation C-Class in India. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the German automakers one of the most popular executive saloons and the range comprises – the C 220 d Progressive, the C 220 d Prime and the most powerful C 300 d AMG Line.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes equipped with a new and powerful BS VI complaint 1950 cc, four-cylinder OM 654 diesel powertrain. The motor is coupled to the 9GTRONIC automatic transmission.
The C 220d Progressive & Prime produces 143 kW (194 hp) @ 3800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1600 – 2800 rpm. The sedan can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 240 km/h.
C 300d AMG Line generates 180 kW (245 hp) @ 4200 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1600 – 2400 rpm. The car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.
The new C-Class has about 6,500 parts changed over its pre-facelift version, with almost 50% changes from the initial C-Class range. It also comes with a new Mojave Silver body colour option.
2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class receive slight changes to its exterior. It now sports the brand’s signature diamond style grille for the C 300d AMG Line variant. The sedan also comes with new LED headlamp, LED daytime running lamps, and a revised front bumper. The ORVMs have also been tweaked as well. Further, the updated C-Class gets new LED tail lamps and a set of new alloy wheels.
The interiors of the new C-Class have been enhanced with a new 10.25-inch media display screen and new generation telematics which includes NTG 5.5 smartphone integration adding better appearance and connectivity in line.
The AMG Line interior in the C 300d exudes a more visible and tangible sense of sportiness in this variant, while the expressive body styling of AMG lends the exterior of the C-Class a sporty, exclusive touch. The AMG Line interior in this variant will be available in Saddle Brown and Black upholstery options.
