Piaggio India has launched the Aprilia SR 125 and unveiled the Aprilia Storm at the Auto Expo 2018. The Aprilia SR 125 scooter is priced INR 65,310/- ex showroom, Pune.
The Aprilia SR 125 is powered by a 125 cc, 3 valve engine which develops 9.5 BHP of power at 7250 RPM and 9.9 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM. The engine is mated to a CVT.
The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with wide tyres. At front it gets telescopic forks and hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 220 mm front disc brake and a 140 mm rear drum brake.
Looks wise the Aprilia SR 125 is similar to the SR 150. It comes in new vibrant colours and gets a longer seat along with a raised grab handle to deliver extra comfort to the rider as well as the pillion.
Piaggio has also unveiled the Aprilia Storm scooter which is an accessorised version of the SR 125. It features dynamic colour options, 12-inch wheels with wide terrain tyres and a huge windshield. The Storm variant isn’t launched for now but the company might do so after taking feedback for it from customers.
