Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for the all-new Maruti Dzire. The notice says that there could be a possible fault in the rear wheel hub of the compact sedan.
Customers of the new Dzire can check whether their car requires any attention by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on this webpage: New Maruti Dzire Recall – Rear Wheel Hub. The VIN or the chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and can also be found in the vehicle invoice and registration documents.
If your car appears on the list, do contact your nearest Maruti Authorised Service Station for rectification of the problem.
The company has said that around 21,494 new Dzire vehicles manufactured between 23rd February and 10th July 2017 will be covered in this campaign. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.
Maruti says the dealers have been been contacting owners of the affected vehicles included in this service campaign for inspection and replacement of the faulty part starting from 3rd October 2017.

The new Maruti Dzire is available with a 1.2L petrol engine and a 1.3L diesel engine. Both engines have the option of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The new Dzire is built on the Suzuki’s latest HEARTECT platform. The compact sedan gets ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Dual front airbags, ISOFix Child Seat Anchorages and Front Seat Belt with Pre-Tensioner and Force Limiter.

The petrol variant of the New Dzire provides a fuel efficiency of 22 kmpl. The Dzire equipped with the diesel motor delivers a fuel efficieny 28.4 kmpl.
