The New Pajero Is Designed to Look Like a Pajero

There is a temptation with a returning icon to draw a retro body, add some heritage graphics and call the job finished.

Mitsubishi has taken a different route.

The new Pajero carries forward visual themes from the original first-generation model, particularly its upright proportions and strong horizontal character. But rather than reproducing the old shape, the designers have translated those cues into a much more contemporary form.

The stance is substantial. Powerful fenders give the body visual width, while sculpted surfaces prevent the large SUV from becoming visually blunt.
