Renault’s ‘futuREady’ Revolution: The Bold Blueprint for 2030

The automotive industry is in the midst of a historic pivot, and Renault is stepping on the accelerator. With the unveiling of its newly minted “futuREady” strategic plan, the iconic French automaker isn’t just looking at the next few years; it’s actively designing the roads of 2030

The brand’s overarching goal is as clear as it is ambitious: to sell more than 2 million vehicles globally by the end of the decade. But it isn’t just about moving metal; it’s about fundamentally changing what is moving. By 2030, Renault is aiming for 100% of its European sales to be electrified, alongside a formidable 50% electrified mix across its international markets.

Here is how Renault plans to redefine global mobility over the next four years.

Renault futuREady Revolution Plan 2030

Defending the Crown in Europe

Renault is already a powerhouse in Europe, but the “futuREady” plan outlines a massive product offensive to secure that leadership. The automaker plans to launch 12 new models in the European market between now and 2030.

To start, Renault will double down on its historic dominance in the compact A and B segments. This includes riding the momentum of fan favorites like the New Clio, alongside a nostalgic yet futuristic electric lineup featuring the Renault 5 E-Tech, the Renault 4 E-Tech, and the Twingo E-Tech.

However, the real battleground lies in the larger C and D segments, which currently make up 30% of the brand’s sales. Renault is preparing a next-generation wave of electric vehicles built on the brand-new RGEV medium 2.0 platform. This architecture is built for the modern road trip, boasting 800-volt ultra-fast charging capabilities and an impressive WLTP range of up to 750 km for fully electric models. For those with range anxiety, a range-extender version will push that total driving distance to a staggering 1,400 km.

The R-Space Lab: A Glimpse into the Cabin of Tomorrow

What will it actually feel like to sit inside a Renault of the future? To answer that, the brand introduced the R-Space Lab concept. While it won’t be hitting production lines directly, it serves as a stunning innovation demonstrator of Renault’s “voitures à vivre” (cars for living) philosophy.

Picture a bright, modular living space bathed in natural light thanks to a fully glazed roof and frameless doors. The dashboard is dominated by a curved openR panorama screen that stretches across the entire width of the cabin. Modularity is the star of the show here: the passenger seat can slide all the way to the second row to allow for easy interaction with a child, and an ingenious multifunction glovebox can even fold out to serve as a leg rest. It is less of a traditional car interior and more of a highly adaptable, tech-forward lounge.

Going Global: The Bridger Concept and the Push Beyond Europe

While Europe remains Renault’s spiritual home, its future growth hinges heavily on international markets. The plan dictates that by 2030, half of Renault’s 2 million vehicle sales will come from outside Europe. To achieve this, the brand is stepping up its global offensive with the launch of 14 new models.

Renault is leaning heavily into five robust international hubs: Morocco, Türkiye, Latin America, South Korea, and India. India, in particular, is positioned as a primary pillar of this strategy, acting as a global production hub. Over the next few years, four new models will be designed and assembled on Indian soil.

The poster child for this international push is the newly revealed Bridger Concept. Designed as a rugged, sub-4-meter B-segment SUV, the Bridger Concept features a bold 200mm ground clearance and an assertive, sculpted front end. Despite its compact footprint, it boasts class-leading spaciousness, including 200mm of rear knee room and a 400-litre boot.

Expected to enter the Indian market by the end of 2027 before rolling out to other regions, the Bridger will be highly adaptable; available in combustion, hybrid, or fully electric variants.

The Road Ahead

Renault’s “futuREady” plan is a clear statement of intent. With 26 new products slated for launch globally over the next four years, the brand isn’t just preparing for the future; it’s actively engineering it. From cutting-edge platforms in Europe to bold new SUVs built in India, Renault is ensuring that its next growth cycle is fully charged and ready for the road.
