Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has launched the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India. This new variant is a more off-road focused one in the entire Compass line-up. It gets several mechanical upgrades as well as cosmetic updates to make it perform and look different.

The Trail-rated Jeep SUV has been priced at INR 26.8 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Powering The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. This motor makes 170 Bhp @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s Active Drive Low 4×4 system that includes a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range, hill-descent control. The SUV comes with five driving modes for the Selec-Terrain system – Auto, Snow, Mud, Sand and an additional Rock mode.
Compared to the regular variants the Jeep Compass Trailhawk has a 30 mm higher ground clearance and it has a water fording capability of 840 mm. It also has a better approach (26.5 degrees), departure (31.6 degrees) and ramp break-over (21.2 degrees) angles. It measures 4,398 mm in length, 1,818 mm in width, 1,657 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. The vehicle has a Fuel tank capacity of 60 litres.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes with a dual-tone exterior colour scheme. It gets a matte grey finish on the 7-slat grille and an anti-glare decal on the bonnet. The SUV also comes with new bumpers with a tow hook at the rear, skid plates and 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tyres. It also gets Trail Rated badge on the front fenders and Trailhawk branding at the rear.
Inside, the trail-rated SUV gets an all-black interior with red accents to give it a sporty appeal. It gets an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has features such as onboard navigation, voice commands and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other features include cruise control, keyless entry, engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, cornering fog lamps, 7-inch MID. It also comes with a panoramic sunroof as an option.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-hold assist, rollover mitigation and electronic parking brake. It also gets rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
