Mercedes-Benz has launched its ‘Luxury Multi- Purpose Vehicle’, the V-Class in India. It will be available in both the 6 and 7 seater long-wheelbase (Exclusive) and extra-long-wheelbase (Expression) variants. The company believes there is a potential demand for such luxury MPVs in India.

The Mercedes V-Class is made in Spain and is sold in more than 90 countries across the world. The V-Class combines highest standards of passenger car with functionality of a MPV, which can be adapted to market and customer-specific demands owing to its wide range of equipment options.
2019 marks the 25th year of Mercedes-Benz in India and will be a significant milestone for the brand in India. The V-Class is the company’s first launch in 2019 and plans to enter new luxury vehicle segments in the future.
The Mercedes V-Class Long Wheelbase version measures 5140 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3200 mm while the extra-long wheelbase model measures 5370 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3430 mm.
Power for the luxury MPV comes from a BSVI-compliant , four-cylinder, 2143 cc diesel engine which produces 163 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Feature wise the 6-seater Exclusive version is loaded with 17-inch alloys, Table package, Rear window opening with parcel shelf and shopping crates, Comfort seats in nappa leather – Silk beige, Marron and Black, AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system, Multifunction steering wheel in nappa leather. It also gets Ambient Lighting, 360 degree reversing camera with Active Park Assist, Electric Sliding Doors and High-Performance LED headlamps with Intelligent Light System.
The 7-seater Expressive model comes with 16-inch alloys, Comfort Suspension, Multifunction steering wheel, Attention Assist PRE SAFE, Reversing Camera and Dynamic LED headlamps with Intelligent Light System. Additionally, customers can also opt for Leather Lugano Black, Matt anthracite wave-look trim, Sports Pedal and Leather Steering wheel as an option.
Other convience feature offered with the luxury MPV includes THERMOTRONIC 2 Zone Automatic AC, Rear AC control units, Touchpad with handwriting recognition and Grab handles for ease of entry. The vehicle also comes with 6 airbags.
2019 Mercedes-Benz V-Class Colours:
The luxury MPV will be available in four colour options – Obsidian Black, Brilliant Silver,
Mountain Crystal White and Cavensite Blue.
