The new Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription variant has been launched in India. The plug-in hybrid SUV was until now available only in the top of the line Excellence trim. This model of the luxury SUV is imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) to India.

The Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription model is powered by a supercharged 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. The engine produces 312 hp @ 6000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque @ 2200-4800 rpm while the electric motor adds another 88 hp. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all the four wheels.
The Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription comes with features such as Nappa leather upholstery, 4-zone automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with a 19-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system, head-up display, ventilated front seats with backrest massage function, heated steering wheel and Walnut decor inlays.
The SUV also gets Adaptive Cruise Control, air-suspension, ABS and airbags, electronic stability control, roll-over protection with roll stability control, run-off-road mitigation, Volvo’s City Safety system, pedestrian detection, lane keeping aid, hill start assist and automatic braking after a collision
