The Swift is a very popular hatchback in India and the all-new model was recently launched at an introductory price of INR 4.99 Lakh.
In its stock form, the petrol variant of the Maruti Swift is powered by a 1.2 litre K12 VVT engine which produces 82 PS and 113 Nm of torque while the diesel model gets is power from the 1.3-litre DDiS motor which produces 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque.
Both models get a 5-speed gearbox as standard and also get the option of an automated manual transmission (AMT). The all-new Maruti Swift is based on Suzuki’s 5th generation HEARTECT platform. The hatchback is now wider and has a longer wheelbase as well.
