Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the top of the range 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The luxury saloon will be showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is now even more refined and luxurious. It gets a new radiator grill with fine vertical struts which is inspired by a pinstriped suit. This grill design first made its appearance in the Vision Mercedes‑Maybach 6 Concept Car.
The luxury sedan also gets a two-tone exterior paint finish which is a classic Mercedes-Maybach theme. The company will offer nine different colour combinations on request in the future. All dark colours will also be available with a new double clear coat option.
The second bodywork clear coat which involves intermediate sanding is intricately applied by hand in the Maybach Manufaktur by specially trained varnishers. This coat creates a brilliant surface finish with a piano lacquer effect and a special impression of depth.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also gets new luxury 20‑inch multi-spoke wheels. Mercedes will offer customers the choice of three exclusive 20- inch wheel designs including a 20‑hole design familiar from the Mercedes-Maybach S‑Class cabriolet
The interior of the 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is offered with new exclusive colour combinations which include Armagnac Brown/Black and Savanna Beige/Black. The black Maybach Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery can also be ordered with a choice of copper, gold or platinum coloured contrasting topstitching. Additionally, the range includes trim inserts in designo flowing lines Magnolia.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be offered in three trims- S 560, S 560 4MATIC and S 650. The S560 and S560 4MATIC range will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo petrol engine that churns out 469 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The S650 gets its power from a 6.0-litre V12 biturbo petrol engine which develops 630 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.
The flagship of the Mercedes-Benz model range measure 5462 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3365 mm. It exceeds the long-wheelbase S Class Saloon by 200 mm in both dimensions. List of standard equipment on the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class includes executive seats and other exclusive details such as innovative voice amplification.
