India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd, has updated the prices of its products post the Goods and Services Tax (GST) roll-out. The announcement has come in the background of the country wide application of GST as notified by The Government of India.
The company says it welcomes the change through one nation, one market and one tax. It expects that the GST will accelerate market demand as growth rate is expected to be around 10% after its implementation.
The company also says that the market sentiment is optimistic, which may eventually lead to the assumed potential of the market which was debated during the implementation phase.
The two-wheeler industry of India has come through several macroeconomic reforms this year like the new BS-IV engine standard upgrades and the transitory effect of demonetization which has affected the growth. What remains to be seen is how the implementation of GST will change the game.
