The Kushaq is precisely fitted for the taste of Indian SUV consumers, with a powerful and muscular design.

The interiors are a great blend of beauty and modernity, with the brand’s signature “Simply Clever” ideas to make driving more convenient. The Kushaq also includes a variety of active and passive safety features, as well as ESC as standard on all models.

The SUV is 4,225 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, and 1,612 mm tall. It has one of the longest wheelbases of 2651 mm in the segment and a minimum laden ground clearance of 155 mm.

The inside of the Skoda Kushaq combines ergonomics with a harmonious and emotional design. The SUV has a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a central, free-standing multimedia touchscreen. The new Kushaq has a total interior storage capacity of up to 26.2 litres, as well as a cargo capacity of 385 litres that can be expanded to 1,405 litres by folding the back seats.

From Ambition variant onwards ambient lighting illuminates the dashboard and door handles, while the door handles, handbrake locking button, and air vents are chrome plated, and the gearstick knob is leather-wrapped. Front ventilated black leather seats with perforated grey design, as well as black leatherette armrests on the centre console and doors, are included in the Style variant.

Two modern and efficient TSI engines are available on the new Kushaq. Direct-injection petrol engines are more efficient due to their extremely low fuel consumption. The three-cylinder 1.0 TSI engine produces 85 kW. (115 PS). A 6-speed manual gearbox or a new-generation 6-speed automatic transmission transmits power to the front wheels.

The four-cylinder 1.5 TSI engine produces 110 kW (150 PS) of power, which is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG. This engine also boasts active cylinder technology, which is a first in the sector (ACT).
The all-new Skoda Kushaq comes with a choice of two sophisticated infotainment systems, each with SmartLink technology for smartphone interaction.

The range-topping infotainment system with a 25.4 cm colour touchscreen, similar to smartphones, is available on the Ambition and Style trim levels, while the lesser trim gets a 17.78 cm touchscreen. A dual tuner, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an external microphone for hands-free phone calls, valet mode, and Wireless SmartLink are all included in the 25.4 cm infotainment. The Skoda Kushaq is equipped with six speakers: two front high-tone tweeters, two front bass speakers, and two rear wide-range speakers, ensuring a wide frequency range and superb sound.

Meanwhile, the stylish trim level has a Skoda Sound system with six high-performance speakers and a rear subwoofer in the spare-wheel well. As an option, the navigation function can be downloaded through the Skoda Play Apps store. Two USB-C connections are located in the front centre console for data and charging, while two are located in the back for charging mobile devices. Wireless charging is also available with the style trim. In the Ambition and Style variants, the Kushaq has a touch-controlled climatronic with an Air care function.

The Skoda Kushaq comes equipped with Electronic Stability Control, Roll Over Protection, and Multi Collision Braking, which are firsts in the segment (MKB). The vehicle also comes with a number of great active and passive safety systems, which vary by trim level.

Hill-Hold Control and a tyre pressure monitoring system guarantee that the driver has a comfortable journey. Up to six airbags protect passengers, and all five seats include three-point seat belts and height-adjustable headrests. The ISOFIX and top-tether anchor offer the utmost safety for the vehicle’s youngest occupants.

Parking sensors are included as standard, while models from the Ambition trim onwards include a rear view camera with static guiding lines.

Brake assist features such as ABS (Anti-Lock Braking), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), and various segment first features such as EDS with XDS & XDS + (Electronic differential lock – advanced differential lock), HBV (Hydraulic brake-boosting), and BSW (Brake disc wiping) all contribute to the vehicle’s safety.

The new Skoda Kushaq SUV will be available in five exterior colour options which includes Honey Orange, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Candy White and Brilliant Silver.

With the Kushaq launch, the company will expand its network to Tier II and III cities, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the country. Currently, Skoda Auto India has 120 sales touch-points in 85 locations, with aspirations to increase to 150 by the end of 2021.

Skoda Auto India has announced a number of customer-centric ownership initiatives in addition to extending its sales and service network. Every Kushaq comes with a 4-year/150,000-kilometer warranty that can be extended to 6-years/150,000-kilometers.
