Volkswagen has updated the Polo and Vento for the Indian market. It has to be noted that these are just the facelift versions of the current-gen models which have been on sale since the last 10 years and not the all-new cars which have been introduced in the international market.

The updated VW Polo and the Vento get exterior changes like sporty side skirts, smoked tail lamps, GTI inspired honeycomb front grille and bumpers. The rear bumper also now comes with a faux diffuser to enhance the looks.
Both the cars also get a new colour Sunset Red colour options and a new GT Line edition featuring Black roof, GT Line side foil, fender badge, Black ORVM cap and rear spoiler. Volkswagen Connect comes as standard in the Highline Plus and GT variants of the Polo and Vento.
Reminiscent to its previous editions of being one of the safest cars in its segment the Polo and Vento are equipped with the mandatory safety features under AIS 145 norms which includes speed alarm, rear parking sensors, seat belt warning, ABS and dual airbags.
Mechanically, both the models remain unchanged. The 2019 VW Polo continues to be offered with the 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine which makes 76 PS & 95 Nm and 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine which makes 90 PS & 230 Nm. Both these options come with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Polo GT is powered by the 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine which makes 105 PS and 175 Nm and also comes with the option of the 1.5-litre TDI motor which churns out 110 PS & 250 Nm. The petrol variant is mated to a 7-speed DSG while the diesel comes with a 5-speed manual.
The 2019 VW Vento is offered with three engine options. The 1.6L MPI petrol engine makes 105 PS & 153 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2 TSI petrol engine generates 105 PS & 175 Nm and comes coupled to a 7-speed DSG. The diesel Vento uses the 1.5L TDI motor which makes 110 PS & 250 Nm. It comes with an option of either 5-speed gearbox or the 7-speed DSG.
