Renault Triber Launched in India; Priced from INR 4.95 Lakh

After making its global debut in India, the Renault Triber has been launched in the country. The compact 7-seater MPV has been specifically designed for the Indian market and will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Chennai.

Renault Triber Yellow 2019

The Renault Triber is a sub-4m MPV which is based on the CMF-A+ platform. It measures 3990 mm in length, 1739 mm in width and 1637 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2636 mm along with a ground clearance of 182 mm. It also gets fuel tank of 40-litre capacity.

With the seats in the third-row in the upright position, it has a luggage capacity of just 84 litres but this can be increased to 320 litres by folding one of the third-row seats and it can be further increased to 625 litres by folding down the other one. The MPV also gets functional roof rails which have a loading capacity of 50 kg.

Powering the Renault Triber is a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine which is equipped with dual VVT system. This motor produces 72 PS @ 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. The MPV will be offered with an option of a 5-speed manual gearbox or the 5-speed EASY-R AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).

The higher-end models of the Triber will ride on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/65 size tyres while the entry-level model will get 14-inch wheels with 165/80 size tyres.

2019 Renault Triber Rear Quarter

In terms of looks, the design of Renault Triber is inspired by the company’s bigger SUV models. It gets a robust-looking exterior thanks to the sculpted hood, front and rear faux skid plates, roof rails and black plastic cladding.

The 7-seater MPV gets Triple Edge chrome front grille, projector headlamps and LED DRLs. It also comes with MediaNav Evolution system with 8-inch touchscreen, refrigerated central area with cup holders, smart storage solutions for smartphones and a digital instrument cluster with a 9.7 cm LCD MID Screen.

The Triber also gets keyless entry, start-stop button, AC vents for rear passengers, rear parking sensors and reverse camera. The MPV gets EasyFix seats which allow for easy removal and handling of the individual third-row seats. Renault claims that the Triber offers more than 100 different seat-configurations.

The Renault Triber is said to comply with all the safety requirements for the Indian market. It features 3-point seat belts in all rows. The ones in the first and second row are equipped with a retractor. The driver’s seat belt is also equipped with a pre-tensioner and load limiter. It is also equipped with 4 airbags.
