The Ducati Panigale V4R has been launched in India. The superbike was first showcased at the EICMA 2018 motorcycle show and is said to be the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated road-legal motorcycle. Only 5 units of the Panigale V4R have been allocated for the Indian market.

The superbike is priced at INR 51.87 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The new Ducati Panigale V4R is based on the WSBK category racing bike platform. It is powered by a MotoGP Desmosedici derived, 4-cylinder, 998cc engine to meet the road-legal WBSK championship rules. This motor produces 221 hp @ 15,250 rpm and a torque of 112 Nm @11,500 rpm.
Power figures can be ramped up to 234 hp @ 15,500 rpm by opting for the full-racing Ducati Performance exhaust by Akrapovic, making the Panigale V4 R the most powerful road-legal naturally aspirated Ducati motorcycle to roll out from the factory ever. The bike weighs 193 kg (kerb)/173 kg (dry).
Ducati has developed an all-new frame for the Panigale V4 R where the engine functions as a load-bearing member. The bike features a new fairing incorporating wings elements of MotoGP origin to for enhance aerodynamic efficiency and provide increased stability.
The superbike also gets the race- grade Ohlins suspension with mechanical adjustment and an aluminium swingarm with an adjustable four-position axle. Moreover, the Front Frame has been modified to achieve the stiffness targets set by Ducati Corse.
The Ducati Panigale V4 R borrows sophisticated electronic controls from the Panigale V4 S which have been further revised to make them more compatible with pro rider requirements.
Also for the first time, the race-spec motorcycle includes an Aero Pack which has been designed directly by Ducati Corse in close collaboration with the Ducati Style Centre to improve on-track aerodynamic efficiency.
Some key features available with the superbike include launch control, wheelie control, traction control, Bosch cornering ABS, quickshift, slide control, engine brake control, data analyser with GPS and multimedia system.
