New Maruti Suzuki Swift and Baleno Recalled; 52,686 cars affected

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recalled the recently launched new Swift along with its premium hatchback Baleno.

The company has issued a notice for the customers of the new Maruti Swift and Baleno that it will undertake a service campaign to inspect for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose in these models.

Around 52,686 units of the new Swift and the Maruti Baleno which have been manufactured between 1st December 2017 and 16th March 2018 will be covered in this campaign.

Starting 14th May 2018 owners of the vehicles included in this service campaign will be contacted by dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.

To check whether your new Swift or Baleno is affected by this recall, you can fill in the chassis number (MBH followed by the 14 digit alpha-numeric number) at the official website: Link.

The chassis number can be found embossed on the vehicle ID plate and should also be present in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.

If your car appears on the list, do contact your nearest Maruti Authorised Service Station for rectification of the problem.
