Nissan India had showcased the 2017 Nissan GT-R at the recently held Big Boy Toys Expo in Mumbai. The 2017 Nissan GT-R has been updated with an exciting new look both inside and out. It has also received major driving performance enhancements.

The high-performance car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-L V6 engine that produces a power output of 570 PS and a torque figure of 637 Nm. This GT-R’s engine is hand built and only five master craftsmen in the world are allowed to hand-assemble it and affix a plaque carrying their name.
Mated to this engine is a 6-speed sequential dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. This gearbox can change gear in just 0.15 seconds when in R-Mode, almost as quickly as you can blink. The car can reach a top speed of 315 km/h.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R now gains a redesigned hood, front bumpers along with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and a new matte chrome finish “V-motion” grille, which represents the company’s latest design signature. Most of the exterior changes made to the car have been done to enhance its aerodynamics.
The rear of the new GT-R continues to house the iconic round taillights and now gets a silver-finish diffuser along with new side air vents next to the quad titanium exhaust tips. The rear bumper section has a similar design featured on the GT-R NISMO for better routing of air at the lower portion of the rear of the vehicle.
The 2017 GT-R has undergone a lot of time inside the wind tunnel to improve its aerodynamics. The super sports car can glide through the wind and has an incredibly clean Coefficient of Drag of just 0.26 Cd and has 160 kg aerodynamic downforce.
The inside of the new GT-R is finished in superbly crafted materials that deliver an unparalleled degree of comfort, luxury and everyday usability. The dashboard layout has been improved and simplified. The number of navigation and audio controls have reduced from 27 switches in the previous model to only 11 in the new version.
The sports car also features an 8-inch touch panel monitor which allows the user to control the audio system, navigation system, telephone controls and other infotainment functions. The multi-function meter allows the driver to customize the layout of important vehicle-specific performance parameters and information. It also boasts of an 11-speaker Bose audio system that was designed with the vehicle itself.
Some of the key features of the new Nissan GT-R include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Seat Belts with Pretensioners and 6 Airbags.
The sports car also includes Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Leather-Wrapped Gear Shift Knob, Jack and Jack Handle with GT-R Logo, Reverse Parking Sensors, Rake and reach adjustable steering wheel, Automatic air conditioning with dual zone climate control and Rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
