Toyota India Increases Price Of Products Due to Raise in Cess

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced an increase in prices of its products Innova, Fortuner, Corolla and Etios. The prices have been in effect from September 12, 2017. The decision has been prompted by the raise in cess from 2-7% across mid-size to large size cars and SUVs as amended by the GST Council.

Following the ordinance on GST amendment, we have to revise the price of our products in line with the cess hike which may nearly reflect the prices in the pre-GST scenario,” expressed Mr. N. Raja, Director & Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

The approximate price increase in Delhi for Innova Crysta will be upto INR 78,000/-, for the new Fortuner it will be upto INR 1,60,000/-. The all new Corolla Altis will witness a price rise of upto INR 72,000/– and the Platinum Etios price will increase INR 13,000/-. The price of Hybrids and small cars remains unaffected post the cess hike.
