Ducati India has launched the all-new Scrambler Desert Sled model in the country. The unique style of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is inspired from the off-road bikes of the ’60s and ’70s that made US motorcycling history in the mountains and deserts of California.
The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is the natural evolution of the Urban Enduro version towards a more functional off-road style. The bike provides a new riding position thanks to the full 200 mm extended travel on the front and rear suspension, higher seat and off-road style foot pegs that come with removable rubber pads.
The modified frame and suspension, high mudguards, headlight mesh guard and engine skid plate lend to the offroad capability and give the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled its distinctive look.

The all-new Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is powered by a twin-cylinder 803 cc air and oil-cooled engine which is EURO 4 compliant. The motor produces 75 hp at 8,250 rpm and a torque of 68 Nm at 5,750 rpm. It is equipped with a new throttle control and an all-new engine calibration that makes power delivery even smoother, especially at the bottom end of the rev range.
Stopping performance is enhanced by the Brembo braking system which features a Bosch 9.1 MP ABS system with a pressure sensor. At the front, there is a single 330 mm disc and a 4-piston Brembo monobloc calliper while at the rear there is a 245 mm disc and a 32 mm diameter piston calliper.
The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels on the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled are wrapped in the new Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres which have been specially designed to combine the performance of a top-flight off-road tyre with that of an enduro street one.
The 2017 Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled also comes with a dedicated accessory and apparel line. Customers have a choice between the Red Dusk and White Mirage colours. The bike comes with black frame and spoked wheels with gold rims which add to its classy looks.
Bookings for the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled (Euro 4) are open and the motorcycles are available across all dealerships in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kochi.
