All-new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cruiser unveiled at the EICMA 2022

The all-new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cruiser was unveiled at the EICMA 2022 show in Milan.

There are two variants of the cruiser motorcycle – Super Meteor 650 and Super Meteor 650 Tourer. These are based on the same 648cc twin platform as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

During Royal Enfield’s Rider Mania event in Goa later this month, the Super Meteor will have its first public appearance in India. There is an expectation that the price will be in the range of INR 3.50 to 4.00 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Power and torque output of this 648cc air-cooled parallel twin engine are identical to those of the Interceptor and Continental GT 650, with 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and peak torque output of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm.

In terms of braking, the Super Meteor is equipped with a single 320 mm disc up front with a two-piston calliper, and a 300 mm disc at the rear. A dual-channel ABS system is standard.

With a weight of 241 kg, it is the heaviest model in Royal Enfield’s 650cc range. It has a 135mm ground clearance and a 740mm seat height. Fuel tank capacity is 15.7 liters.

It features a low scalloped seat, wide pulled-back handlebars, and feet-forward foot controls. Among its features are 43mm USD front suspension with 120 mm of travel, round LED headlamp and tail lamp along with the Tripper Navigation System.

There will be five colour schemes available for the Super Meteor 650, including Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green.

Additionally, the Super Meteor 650 Tourer, which is the grand tourer model will be offered in two paint colours, Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.

There were three models of the Super Meteor 650 on display at the EICMA 2022, including the Astral Black Super Meteor 650 with Solo Tourer Genuine Motorcycle Accessories. With this kit, you get a wide selection of styling elements including bar end mirrors, deluxe footpegs, solo finishers, LED indicators, and machined wheels.

A Celestial Red Super Meteor 650 Tourer was displayed in Milan with Grand Tourer accessories including dual-seats, touring windscreen, passenger backrest, footpegs, longhaul panniers, touring handlebar and LED indicators. A regular version of the Super Meteor 650 was also unveiled in the Interstellar Green shade.
