All-New Tesla Roadster 2020 Unveiled – The Quickest Production Car in the World

Tesla has unveiled the new Roadster along with the Tesla Semi trucks at an event in California. The latest Tesla Roadster is claimed to be the quickest production car in the world, with record-setting acceleration, range and performance.

The Tesla Roadster is slated to arrive in 2020 and a prototype version of the base model was showcased at the event. This is the successor to the original Roadster which was the first vehicle from the company back in 2008.

The second generation Roadster can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds which is faster than the Tesla Model S P100D in Ludicrous mode, which takes 2.5 seconds to reach this figure. It can reach 100 mph from zero in just 4.2 seconds. Also, it can cover a quarter mile in only 8.8 seconds. All these are record breaking figures said Elon Musk, CEO Tesla.

The new Tesla Roadster 2020 has a range of 620 miles and is claimed to have a top speed of over 250 mph. The new all-electric Roadster is fitted with a 200kWh battery pack. It utilizes 3 electric motors, one in the front and two at the rear which make a whopping 10,000 Nm of torque.

The electric supercar comes with a 2+2 seating configuration and gets a removable glass roof which can be stored in the trunk thus converting the car from a coupe to a convertible for an open-air driving experience. The trunk also has space to store some luggage as well for a long trip.
