Suzuki Access 125 Updated; Now complies with BS-IV and AHO norms

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has launched the 2017 Suzuki Access 125. The new Suzuki scooter is BS-IV compliant and also gets the AHO feature.

2017 Suzuki Access 125 Metallic Sonic Silver

The 2017 Suzuki Access 125 scooter will now be available in a new trendy Metallic Sonic Silver colour. The new Access 125 will continue to be offered in the five existing colour options which are – Candy Sonoma Red, Metallic Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, and Pearl Mirage White.

The all new Suzuki Access 125 now gets the mandatory Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) feature. The flagship scooter is powered by a 125 cc engine with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) Technology and now complies with the Bharat Stage IV emission norms. Suzuki claims a best in class mileage of 64 kmpl.

The motor produces a power of 8.7 PS at 7000 rpm and a torque of 10.2 Nm at 5000 rpm. It weighs 102 kg and has a fuel tank with a capacity of 5.6 L.

2017 Suzuki Access 125 Metallic Sonic Silver side

The new Suzuki Access 125 comes in two variants, one with drum brakes and the other with disc brakes in front. The drum brake model gets steel wheels, while the disc brake variant gets alloy wheels.

The Metallic Sonic Silver variant will be sold at Rs. 54,302 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake version while the the disc brake version will cost, Rs. 57,615 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The front gets a telescopic suspension, while a swing arm does duty at the rear. The scooter also comes with a maintenance free 12V battery.

Key features of Suzuki’s flagship scooter include a chrome head lamp cover, digital meter, easy start system and one push central lock system. It also gets a front pocket, 2 utility hooks and a large 21.8L under-seat storage. An optional DC socket is also available with the new Access 125 for charging mobile phones and other devices.

The 2017 Suzuki Access 125 will go head against the Honda Activa 125 and the Hero Maestro Edge. Suzuki also retails the Access 125 Special Edition. The Access 125 SE gets additional features such as chrome rear view mirrors, maroon coloured seat and brown finished inner leg guard shield.
