There are sports cars, and then there are legends. For decades, the Porsche 911 Turbo has defined what it means to blend everyday usability with blistering speed and unmistakable style. Now, in 2025, Porsche has pulled the covers off its new 911 Turbo S at the IAA Mobility motor show in Munich – and it’s safe to say the benchmark has once again been raised.
The latest flagship of the 911 family debuts with a groundbreaking twin-turbo T-Hybrid powertrain that produces a staggering 711 PS and 800 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful production 911 ever. But this isn’t just a numbers game. Porsche has reimagined every detail – from aerodynamics to chassis tuning – to create a car that is faster, sharper, and more refined than any 911 Turbo that came before.

Powering into a New Era: The T-Hybrid Revolution
Porsche first introduced its T-Hybrid technology in the 2024 911 Carrera GTS, but the new Turbo S takes things to another level. Instead of a single electric turbocharger, the Turbo S uses two eTurbos designed specifically for its top-tier performance demands. This system not only boosts overall power but also eliminates lag, delivering instant throttle response.
The hybrid setup includes a compact 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery paired with an eight-speed PDK transmission and integrated electric motor. The result is a car that rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in a blistering 8.4 seconds. Top speed? A jaw-dropping 322 km/h.
Despite packing in more technology, the Turbo S adds only 85 kg over its predecessor. And Porsche engineers have made sure every gram is offset by gains in handling, agility, and control.

Nürburgring-Proven Performance
If there’s any test that separates true sports cars from pretenders, it’s the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In late 2024, a lightly camouflaged Turbo S lapped the legendary circuit in 7:03.92 minutes – 14 seconds quicker than the outgoing model.
Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, who set the official time, summed it up perfectly: “You don’t feel the weight gain. On the contrary, the car is much more agile, has more grip, and is significantly faster than its predecessor in all relevant sections of the track.”
Braking, Grip, and Aerodynamics – Pushed to the Limit
To harness all that power, Porsche fitted the new Turbo S with its largest-ever ceramic composite brake system on a two-door model. The 420 mm front discs and 410 mm rear discs deliver both immense stopping power and improved pedal feel.
New-generation tires play their part too, offering sharper dry handling while still excelling in the wet. At the rear, 325/30 ZR 21 rubber ensures massive traction, paired with 255/35 ZR 20 tires up front.
Then there’s the active aerodynamics. Vertically arranged cooling flaps, an active front diffuser, adjustable spoiler lip, and a tilting rear wing work in unison to cut drag by 10% while improving cooling and high-speed stability. In wet conditions, the system even shields the front brakes from excessive spray for better stopping performance.

Intelligent Chassis and Signature Sound
The 911 Turbo S introduces electro-hydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) as standard, thanks to the hybrid’s high-voltage system. This reduces body roll and makes the car feel planted in corners, whether on a winding Alpine pass or at full tilt on the autobahn.
Adding to the sensory thrill is a new titanium sports exhaust system. Not only does it shed nearly 7 kg, but it also produces a rawer, more emotive boxer engine soundtrack – the kind of sound that sends shivers down a driver’s spine.
Design: A Turbo Like No Other
From the outside, the new Turbo S makes its intentions clear. Wider bodywork, sculpted air intakes, and a redesigned rear fascia give it an aggressive stance. For the first time, Porsche is introducing its exclusive Turbonite color accents – a finish reserved only for Turbo models. You’ll spot them on the Porsche crest, lettering, and even on the wheel center locks.
Inside, Turbonite accents continue across stitching, belts, buttons, and trim pieces. A perforated microfiber headliner, carbon-structured panels with neodyme accents, and 18-way adaptive sport seats ensure the cabin feels both futuristic and luxurious.
Standard equipment is generous – HD Matrix LED headlights, the Sport Chrono Package, and PASM suspension are just a few highlights. Buyers can also dive into Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s endless personalization options, from visible carbon roofs to bespoke stitching and custom-painted keys.

A Porsche You Can Wear on Your Wrist
In a nod to enthusiasts who want to carry a piece of their Turbo S everywhere, Porsche Design has unveiled the Chronograph 911 Turbo S. Built in Grenchen, Switzerland, this timepiece mirrors the car’s Turbonite design details, uses Porsche interior leather for its strap, and even offers wheel-inspired rotors. Every piece is handmade, customizable, and just as exclusive as the car itself.

The Verdict
The 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo S isn’t just another fast car – it’s the evolution of a legend. By marrying hybrid technology with raw performance, Porsche has created a machine that’s as comfortable on a cross-country road trip as it is chasing lap records.
It’s not just about the numbers, though those are undeniably impressive. It’s about the way this car makes you feel – sharper, faster, more connected. The Turbo S has always been the “everyday supercar.” Now, it’s the everyday hypercar.
For enthusiasts, collectors, and dreamers alike, the new 911 Turbo S is proof that Porsche still knows exactly how to set the pace in the performance world.
