Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced the launch of the updated version of the Yaris in India. The sedan gets new features to make it look cooler to target the younger customer base.

In line with its customer-first philosophy, Toyota has been listening to customer needs and constantly evaluating the rapidly changing expectations of Indian Car customers to offer the right product to the Indian market.
The updated Yaris is targeted at young customers. Toyota studied the customer feedback and made the improvements in new Yaris in terms of the exteriors and interiors to give a ‘cool and sophisticated’ feel to the millennial car owners.
The Toyota Yaris V Optional variant now gets a new Dual Tone exterior paint option, Glossy Black finish on the Grille & OVRM, Leatherette seat, Centre Console Box, Leather-wrapped steering wheel & gearshift knob and Diamond cut alloy wheels.
The Yaris is available with a 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces max power of 107 PS @ 6000 rpm and max torque of 140 Nm @ 4200 rpm. This motor comes mated to either a 6-speed Manual Transmission or a 7-speed CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The ARAI rated fuel efficiency of the Yaris with the manual variant is 17.1 kmpl while the CVT model delivers 17.8 kmpl.
Safety-wise, the top-end model of the Yaris comes with 7 Airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, ABS + EBD + BA, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Front & Rear Fog Lamps, Driver + Passenger Seat Belt Reminder and High-Speed Alert
Other features on the exterior of the Yaris sedan include -Projector Headlamp, LED DRL & Rear Combination Lamps and Follow-Me Home Headlamps.
Inside, the car comes with dual-tone interiors with Waterfall Design Instrument Panel, Navigation & Gesture Control in Audio, Fully Automatic with Temperature Controlled, Multi-Information Display (MID) + Eco Indicator.
It also comes with a 7-inch Touch Screen System with USB, Bluetooth, Remote Control, SD Card, Mirror Link, Miracast, HDMI and Wi-Fi.
