Datsun GO and GO+ now available with VDC and new Infotainment system in India

Datsun India has announced a segment-first safety feature, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) technology, in the new Datsun GO and GO+. The company says this in line with their commitment to offer a world-class driving experience to the car owners in India. The Datsun GO will now also be available in new Vivid Blue colour option.

The GO and GO+ also get a new music system, featuring a seven-inch display, smartphone connectivity via Apple Car Play and Android Auto, voice recognition, among other standard in-car music features.

The VDC system in the Datsun GO and GO+ monitors wheel speed, steering wheel position, and lateral acceleration via onboard sensors to provide electronic stability control. Responding to car oversteering and understeering, the system facilitates a safer driving experience, superior drivability and enhanced power.

Among other standard features, the GO and GO+ also get rear parking sensors and dual front airbags. It also comes with anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA) and traction control system (TCS). Further, the cars come equipped with LED DRLs, 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, keyless entry and follow me home headlamps.

Power for both the Datsun GO and GO+ comes from a natural-aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine which makes 68 PS @ 5000 rpm and 104 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
