Tata Nexon Convertible Concept Imagined – Rendering

After creating the Vitara Brezza Convertible for which got a great response, I thought why not use the same formula for one of the best looking compact SUV on sale in the Indian market – Tata Nexon. Also at the 2018 Auto Expo, Mahindra showcased the TUV300 Stinger Convertible Concept which made me think, why not have something like this from Tata Motors as well. So, here it is, the Tata Nexon Convertible Concept rendering.

As seen in the render, the concept is a two-door, 4 seater vehicle with a convertible fabric roof that has been tucked behind the rear seats. The bumpers have been redesigned using inspiration from the Tata H5X concept. It also gets the wheels from the bigger concept SUV.

It was in the year 2014 when Tata Motors had showcased the Nexon Concept at the New Delhi Auto Expo. It was the company’s first product in the compact SUV segment that has been booming day by day in India. The production version was almost identical to the concept vehicle showcased and received a great response from the market.

The Nexon, has proved to be a very successful product for Tata Motors and has been responsible to get the auto maker back in the game in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

The Tata Nexon is based on the company’s IMPACT design philosophy which has now been replaced by the IMPACT Design 2.0. The SUV is available with both diesel and petrol powertrain and comes with a choice of manual or automatic transmission.
