Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has launched the 2018 edition of the Suzuki Hayabusa. The superbike has been priced at INR 13.87 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2018 Edition has been launched in two new colours – Pearl Mira Red/Pearl Glacier White and Glass Sparkle Black. The iconic motorcycle will also be exhibited at the Suzuki Pavilion during the upcoming Auto Expo 2018.
Suzuki Hayabusa, also known as the Ultimate Sportbike, enjoys a huge fan following in India. It also became Suzuki Motorcycle India’s first Made-in-India big-bike in 2017.
The 2018 Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a 1.3-litre inline 4-cylinder fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that delivers 197 PS of power and 155 Nm of torque. The engine comes with Suzuki Drive mode selector and is mated to a 6-speed transmission with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS).
The new Hayabusa is imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kits and is assembled at the SMIPL factory in Manesar, Gurugram. Other key features of the superbike include Forged Pistons And PVD-Coated Rings, Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve, KYB inverted cartridge forks, Lightweight titanium valves and Iridium-alloy spark plugs.
The new Hayabusa also comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster, Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers, TOKICO rear brake calliper, Antilock Brake System (ABS). It is equipped with the Bridgestone BT-015 tyres, which is specially developed for the motorcycle.
