Tata Motors has rolled out its 10,000th Nexon from the Ranjangaon facility. The Tata Nexon is the company’s first vehicle in the compact SUV segment. The Nexon was launched in India in September at an introductory ex-showroom price of INR 5.85 Lakh.
The Tata Nexon comes is available with both petrol and diesel variants and comes in 4 trims – XE, XM, XT and XZ+. It is the company’s fourth product to be based on the IMPACT design philosophy.
The Nexon petrol variant is powered by a 1.2L, turbocharged, Revotron engine which produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. The Tata Nexon diesel model is powered by a 1.5 L turbocharged Revotorq engine that generates 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. An automatic variant with AMT technology will be introduced soon in the market as well.
Other features of the Tata Nexon SUV include first-in-segment Multi Drive Mode – Eco, City and Sport, 6.5-inch display HD touchscreen floating display, advanced Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers and Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity options.
It also gets Projector Headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights, Rear Split LED Tail Lamps, Signature Ivory white accents, Contrast Roof and 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. The Nexon also features Grand Central Console which is inspired by luxury cars, Automatic Climate Control and Smart Key and Push-Button Start.
Safety wise Tata Motors has equipped the new Nexon with ABS with EBD, Reverse Parking Assist, Dual Frontal Airbags, Energy Absorbing Body Structure, Adjustable Seatbelts and ISOFIX mounts.
2017 Tata Nexon Colours:
The new Nexon is available in 5 exterior colours – Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey, and Calgary White. Another paint option in a shade of Orange is also on the cards.
The Dual tone scheme is only available with Vermont Red and Moroccan Blue colours.
